CF Wong is an AICPA-CIMA North Asia Advisory Panel member and seat on LingNam University as their Business school Advisory Committee member.

CF is an independent consultant and owns his practice providing portfolio CFO services to SME, Venture funded startup and listed Companies. CF previously held senior positions including Head of Finance in multinational and listed companies, where he led cross-cultural teams that spanned from the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, USA, China, Hong Kong and Singapore. He also previously worked in Big Four international auditing firms.

CF’s over 20 years of extensive experience covers stakeholder engagements, business partnering, strategic planning and evaluation, mergers & acquisition, financial & treasury FX management, tax strategy, audit, consolidation, financial and management reporting. He is highly skilled in setting up / winding down operations and using technology to implement automation.

CF holds an Executive MBA from the Kellogg-HKUST and is a Bachelor (Honors) of Accountancy graduate from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. CF has been a regular speaker / panellists at various public seminars and is a startup volunteer mentor.

I am the Founder of GA Alliance, an award-winning technology startup that focuses on digitalisation and automation of SME finance functions to empower small business owners and management teams with financial data insights to their businesses. One of GA Alliance’s digital transformation initiatives includes LedgerBrains, the accounting technology platform that brings together qualified professionals and technology that consolidates multiple accounting tools into a single digital platform.

I am the Managing Partner of Morison LC PLT, an international professional practice that is an independent member of Morison Global. Morison is ranked Top 10 globally as an accounting association.

With the Malaysian Accounting fraternity, I am an elected past Council Member to the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, and Founding Chair of the MIA Digital Technology Implementation Committee. I work with key figures and organisations from Accounting Technology, Public Practice, Academia, Professional Accountants in Business, and the Public Sector to bring awareness, impact and transformation to the Malaysian Accounting industry.

I am an Independent Advisor for Quality Management at UHY in Malaysia. My previous roles with UHY Malaysia / UHY International network include responsibilities as its Group Chief Transformation Officer, Managing Partner (Audit & Assurance), Firm compliance and quality control, International Contact Partner (ICP) for UHY Malaysia, member of UHY International’s Business Development and Marketing Working Group (BDMWG) and Members’ Quality Working Group (MQWG).

Prior to my career move into Public Practice, I was an academic, formerly a Director of Courses for an Accounting program with a tertiary Malaysian institution of higher learning.

I have previously served on the Public Practice Committee of CPA Australia and is an alumni of F-TEN® Asia (Financial Talent Executive Network Asia) of the ICAEW, UK.
