A lively discussion between myself and the attendees surfaced. We suggested and concluded this would mean incorporating Environmental, Social and Governance (#ESG) factors into companies business strategy so as to attract the providers of capital like Banks, Private Equity funds, etc & vice-versa.

Climate change is real! The profit pressure on many companies in our competitive market place and awareness may have delayed implementation of many climate change measures. To ensure orderly development of ESG and Sustainable Finance, we have seen government, professional bodies, etc set disclosure requirements. We believed the benefit of moving into Sustainable Finance will outweigh the implementation costs to our climate in the mid to long run and ensure we leave a better world for our next generation!
